Frequently Asked Questions
-
Depending on what part of the body I'm waxing, I use different combinations of both hard and soft wax. In sensitive areas like the bikini area, face, and underarms, I use a gentle hard wax.

You'll only ever be charged at the time of your appointment! I require a card on file to hold the appointment and protect me from late cancellations and no-shows--Iām a small business and those things hit hard!
-
If you need to cancel an appointment, please let me know at least 24 hours in advance. Otherwise, I'll charge a cancellation fee that is 50% of the service scheduled. I completely understand that emergencies happen, just be aware of this policy when booking and communicate with me!

I respect everyone's pronouns and identity! Book for whatever gender you identify with. When it comes to bikini area waxes, I'm only trained to wax female anatomy; that's the only limitation, though.
-
Of course! All bodies are welcome here!

Yes! If you use any medications like benzoyl peroxides or retinols, you need to be off them for AT LEAST five days before a face wax. If you use Accutanes, you need to be off those for at least a year before waxing. Waxing while on any of these things can cause skin lifting--or wax burn, and we don't need that honey! You can still schedule a brow tweeze though!
-
The exact opposite! Waxing pulls your hair out by the root, so it grows back thinner with a fine tip (unlike shaving, where it grows back with a blunt tip, appearing thicker). Not only that, but waxing damages the hair follicles, leading to less hair growth!
-
Absolutely you can still get waxed! Let me know if you have sensitive skin during your consult and we'll work together to make sure your wax is a good experience for you. I use hard waxes for all sensitve areas like the face, underarms, and bikini area. I also provide soothing aftercare to give your skin the best experience possible. You can also try adding a HydroJelly mask to your appointment for an added level of care!

At-home care is important to prevent ingrown hairs. Ingrowns happen when hair grows back after any type of hair removal, so make sure to exfoliate and moisturize as part of your aftercare. I'll go more in depth about the best aftercare routines during your appointment.

Every body is different, so it might take a little trial and error to get your body's specific hair growth schedule down, but the rule of thumb is every four to six weeks.
-
You sure can! Getting a wax while pregnant is completely safe so don't worry!

Everyone's hair grows at different rates. On average, most people see hair growth after about three weeks. For first time waxers, though, it takes about three consistent waxes for your hair growth cycles to sync up and for you to start seeing hair regrowth at regular intervals like that.

Honey, it makes no difference to me. You can absolutely keep your appointment if you're on your period. Just make sure you're using a tampon or cup during your appointment.
